Not everyone who does a Stand Up Course wants to become a professional comedian, in fact, most people who do it because they want to challenge themselves, or because stand-up is something they're interested in.

jay handley
Since doing the course back in 2010, Jay now lives in London and works as a full-time stand-up comedian, with many solo Edinburgh shows under his belt. website twitter
lindsey santoro
A course participant in 2012, Lindsey has since gigged all over the country - supporting the likes of Mrs Barbara Nice, Joe Lycett and Rob Delaney. She was a finalist in the 2022 British Comedian of The Year at The Comedy Store, runner-up in Birmingham Breaking Talent and a semi-finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award, and in 2023 Lindsey was nominated for BEST NEWCOMER at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, and was awarded 'The Biggest Prize In Comedy' by Next Up. She is signed to Off The Kerb, the same agency who represent Alan Carr, John Bishop and Jo Brand.
TAL DAVIES
A rising star on the comedy scene, Tal was crowned Best Breakthrough Act at the 2021 Midlands Comedy Awards. Since coming on the Stand-Up course, Tal’s performed at comedy clubs and festivals all over the UK, and was a Funny Women semi-finalist as well as being shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award and her writing has been recognised by BBC WritersRoom.
lovell smith
A course participant in 2019, Lovell went on to be a So You Think You're Funny? semi-finalist at that year's Edinburgh Fringe, and since then he's been performing all over the country to rave reviews.
DANNY CLIVES
In 2013, a very young and quiet Danny Clives did the Stand Up Course. Slightly older and much louder now, in recent years, he's been part of the Pleasance Comedy Reserve and the Just The Tonic Big Value Showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe. twitter website
